When Jesus Healed My Daughter’s Migraines

My daughter came down one night a few years ago, around 2 in the morning, and could barely speak. Her speech when she tried was slurred, she said her arms and hands were numb, her head felt like it could explode, she was sensitive to the light and she was vomiting. This was the first time anything like this had ever happened and needless to say I was scared.

My mind went to trying to figure out what it could be. Was it a stroke? Was there something in her brain like a tumor?

That morning I called the Doctor and we went straight out for an appointment. He then sent us in for imaging of her head to see what was going on. All of her scans came back clear, so the Doctor determined she was developing migraines.

Sure enough, in the months that followed she continued to get these migraines periodically. We tried tracking them to see if they were hormone related, made sure she stayed hydrated and fed, and did everything we could to try and figure out her triggers so we could avoid them, with no luck. We couldn’t seem to pinpoint anything consistently.

So for over a year she struggled through them. The Doctor perscribed her some medication but it didn’t work for her.

Then one night, at our Church’s regional Eastside Encounter Night, one of the band members got a word of knowledge about migraines. He said he felt someone got migraines on the right side of their head and that God wanted to heal them. I looked at my daughter to see if she was budging, and then I walked over. She said hers did in fact always come on the right side, but she didn’t have one that night.

I encouraged her to let us pray because I believe the Lord doesn’t speak and reveal for nothing. She decided to step forward and allow us to pray for her.

That was over a year ago now and she has not had another migraine ever since!

Thank you Jesus that You still heal our bodies and our souls!
